Mr. Smith shows us another fun and creative way to teach place value. You will need shoe strings and 2 different colored beads. You alternate by groups of tens with each color until you get to one hundred. Students can use these as center activities ...or be used during whole group instruction. Here's a fun way to practice your math facts. This game would work with addition or subtraction 1-12. Students use a sheet full of fly pictures with numbers on them, flash cards, and insect/reptile object. Really cute, fun, and cheap center game. Here's a fun way to let your kiddos practice telling time! This idea was shared by the awesome teachers at Whattheteacherwants.blogspot.com. Use plastic clocks (Judy clocks) and post all over room on walls (10-12) and label with a letter. Set the clo...cks to whatever time you want. Use their printable to record the time they find as they walk the room. This is a great, fun, and cheap math center activity. (4:30)

Here's a fun twist to spice up your math practice! Use cheap cardboard puzzles that have back to them when pieces are popped out. Write math problems on back of each individual puzzle piece. On the puzzle tray where you can see outline of puzzle piec...e write the answer to the math problem. This is a great resource for the early childhood classroom. (4:18)
