Dunk Tank is a math-themed game show created by the producers of Cyberchase and starring Harry from Cyberchase For Real. Using a combination of video and interactive gaming, each program addresses a single topic in the 6th grade math curriculum and s...tudents compete with themselves for high scores. Dunk Tank is an independent learning experience for students to complete in 15-30 minutes, depending on their proficiency, and can also be used to support teacher-led instruction. In this interactive, Harry explains key concepts about liquid volume, including standard units of measure (what they are, when to use them, how to convert between them). Students play Fill It Up, a mini-game that challenges students use pints, quarts and gallons to exactly fill large containers whose volume is marked only in cups; watch a comic video about the importance of measuring carefully with standard units when baking; and answer other questions designed to help them further their understanding of liquid volume. Students can access support using a glossary, defining key math terms, and a menu of short segments to re-watch.
