On September 11, 2001 on American soil, terrorists hijacked four planes intending to crash them into American buildings. Two of those planes hit the World Trade Center Towers and one hit the Pentagon. The other crashed when American passengers appar...ently 'rushed' the terrorists. This video has more graphic images than some, but is good to provide students with an overall look of the events and provide them with some feeling of the impact on the minds and hearts of Americans. In 2001, Gedeon and Jules Naudet were filming a documentary about a young New York City firefighter from Engine 7, Ladder 1. While Jules was at the scene of a gas leak, the first attack on the World Trade Center took place. (58:32)
