This three minute video explains and shows what should go into a home first aid kit. The video moves slowly, but a handout for the students to take home would be of benefit. What the use of some items is not explained. And, the video reminds the view...er, that this is just an example and that a safety kit should be designed based on the family's need.

This two minute video explains how to stop serious bleeding. Students will learn how to lay the affected person down with the head
slightly lower than the trunk, or elevate the person's legs. If
possible, elevate the wound above the level of the ...heart to reduce blood flow. Apply steady, firm pressure directly to the wound using a sterilecloth. Maintain this pressure until the bleeding stops. Then wrap the wound tightly with a gauze bandage, and secure it with adhesive tape. The video does not mention possible problems when dealing with blood. A good introduction for first aid lessons.
