This is a very creative short animation about a windmill farmer and his crop of windmills he takes care of. This would be a great compliment to a unit on windmills. Try to get students to think about the connection between nature and the windmills?... Why would the creator of the animation tell this story? (04:33)

This is a very informative video from The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) about wind power, how it works, the benefits, and its future. There is closed captioning, which is great because, for younger students, this will be paused through...out for explanations/discussions. Although this was made for adults, there is a very basic explanation of how wind mills turn the wind into energy. (06:45)

A one minute demonstration on how to make a pin wheel out of paper without using a pin. The pinless pin wheel is a nice idea for younger students who might otherwise be injured with a sharp pin. The video/craft could be used with a science lesson a...bout wind or a story such as Wind Power. Video movies quickly, and audio quality is poor. Video is meant more as a teacher's "how to" guide.
