September 11 2001 Tribute: Before and After 9/11
From watchmojo.com, produced by WatchMojo
9/11 was one of the most devastating days for the United States in recent memory. The years leading up to that day were filled with conflict from Osama bin Laden’s terrorist organization Al Qaeda, and even prior to that day the U.S. had been struck on home soil. However, few could have anticipated something of this magnitude. Nineteen hijackers took over planes in American airspace and forever transformed the way the world lived. What followed was a War on Terror, the search for Weapons of Mass Destruction, in addition to changes in air travel, world finances and attitudes. (05:22)

Video of 9/11 10th Anniversary Memorial at Ground Zero, NYC
From YouTube, produced by Russia Today
(This is just a small clip of the ceremony, but the viewer can see the memorial and the building that is being (re-)constructed.) It was a tragedy that claimed the lives of thousands in an instant, and later brought two wars with an even more devastating death toll. The United States is marking a decade since the 9/11 attacks. Terrorists crashed hijacked planes into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington. A fourth plane came down in the state of Pennsylvania. (02:36)

9/11 - A Tribute
From YouTube
On September 11, 2001, on American soil, terrorists hijacked four planes intending to crash them into American buildings. Two of those planes hit the World Trade Center Towers and one hit the Pentagon.  The other crashed when American passengers apparently 'rushed' the terrorists. This video has more graphic images than some, but is good to provide students with an overall look of the events and provide them with some feeling of the impact on the minds and hearts of Americans. (04:20)

9/11 Video: What Happened and the Political Response
From personalgrowthcourses.net, produced by Ray Nowosielski, John Duffy, Kyle Hence
This is a video with some narration that reveals what happened on that day and subsequent actions. It is well worth showing in part, but too long for younger students. It clearly shows President Bush's reaction to the event and the Republican reaction to dissent. (01:24:25)
