Tracking Amy: How the Internet is used by Predators
From netsmartz.org, produced by NetSmart
Hear the true story of a 15-year-old girl who left home to meet in person with a man she first "met" online. Read "Amy's Story" — the story from her mother's perspective. More of an illustrated audio story, but well worth having older students reviews as it shows how easily the Internet can be used to track a student and the sad result. More for middle and high school. (03:50)

This video starts from 1957 through 2009. Before 1957 computers could only work on one task at a time and had to be stored in special cooled rooms.  In 1957 the idea of timesharing came up-so that the processes of one computer could be shared with others. In 1958 a military network by Rand was created.  These were the beginnings for our modern internet. (8:10)
