What did people eat on Titanic? You know, before all that stuff went down? It all very literally depended on where you sat. First-class passengers had options that allowed for an array of flavor combinations. Second- and third-class passengers had fewer choices, but no one went hungry. (13:03)

Once a year, Beverly Battle's Washington, DC, sixth graders travel across town to participate in the latest JASON Project expedition of Robert Ballard, the oceanographer and explorer probably best known for his 1985 discovery of the wreck of the Titanic.Armed with well-researched questions, the youngsters are treated to a satellite visit with Ballard and fellow JASON explorers -- students and adults known as Argonauts -- who may be excavating an ancient rain forest site in Colorado, studying the underwater propulsion of puffins in Iceland, or examining tubeworms in Mexico's Sea of Cortez. The true story of Margaret Brown transcends the limitation of myth, revealing a woman of extraordinary spirit and complexity who embodied the issues of her times and the power of individual action. This reformer worked hard to make a difference and her confidence made it possible for her to help others and this 2:30 video helps explains these. Unfortunately, it just touches on them so this video could be used as a discovery lesson since it includes reformers, mining, and even the Titanic.

One thousand miles from anywhere lay a lonely outpost of coral and sea called Midway. It was here in 1942 where the U.S. and Japan fought one of the greatest naval battles of World War II that changed the course of history. And it is here again where Titanic discoverer Dr. Robert Ballard now leads a team of experts and four World War II veterans on the voyage of their lives. They’re on a race against time to do the impossible: find at least one of the five downed aircraft carriers. Join them as they pay their final respects to their fallen comrades. (1hr23min)

This hour long video tells the story of a 250-mile adventure through unspoiled territory along the coast of British Columbia called the Great Bear Rain Forest. It is here that bear-hunting wolves take to the sea, grizzlies clash in titanic battles and wild salmon are the pulsing lifeblood of an entire ecosystem. As this precious habitat faces an uncertain future, threatened by chainsaws and fish farms, a team of dedicated scientists is racing to prove that it must be protected. Forming a wilderness detective squad, these experts are searching for the rare white spirit bear and collecting clues that will decipher the secret life of the forest's elusive inhabitants. Very motivating for students and to encourage them to not take their environment for granted.

This fast paced episode of "Battlefield" chronicles the titanic war in the east, that eventually decided World War II in Europe. Despite numerous warnings from the Communist spy networks: the Lucy Spy-Ring the Red Orchestra Richard Sorge, and pleadings from Churchill and FDR, through ultra decrypts, Stalin discounted all invasion warnings. Stalin felt that all these alarming reports was actually an attempt to divide agreements between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany, by the British and Americans. The Soviet Union shipped supplies ahead of schedule to Nazi Germany. The people of the Soviet Union and Stalin were completely dumbfounded when the Germans invaded the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941. Three German Army Groups attacked into North, Central and the Southern Soviet Union.
