Delaware Flag and Anthem

The flag was aflag/deflag.htm">dopted on July 24, 1913, has a background of colonial blue surrounding a diamond of buff color in which the coat of arms of the state is placed. Below the diamond are the words "December 7, 1787," which is the date Delaware first ratified the United States constitution. The shades of buff and colonial blue represent those of the uniform of General George Washington. Inside the diamond, the flag recognizes the importance of commerce{the ship}and agriculture{wheat, corn, the ox and the farmer}to the state. Tribute is also paid to the revolutionary war soldiers. The words in the ribbon banner read Liberty and Independence.  The state anthem is “Our Delaware” written by George B. Hynson and composed by M. S. Mississippi Flag and Anthem

 The committee to design a flag was appointed by legislative action February 7, 1894, and provided that the flag reported by the committee should become the official flag. They recommended for the flag "one with width two-thirds of its length; with the union square, in width two-thirds of the width of the flag; the ground of the union to be red and a broad blue saltier thereon, bordered with white and emblazoned with thirteen (13) mullets or five-pointed stars, corresponding with the number of the original States of the Union; the field to be divided into three bars of equal width, the upper one blue, the center one white, and the lower one extending the whole length of the flag.  Mississippi’s anthem: “Go, Mississippi”- words and music by Houston Davis.

Georgia Flag and Anthem

Ohio State Flag and State Song

South Carolina Flag and Anthem

The South Carolina flag history: Asked by the Revolutionary Council of Safety in the fall of 1775 to design a flag for the use of South Carolina troops, Col. William Moultrie chose a blue which matched the color of their uniforms and a crescent which reproduced the silver emblem worn on the front of their caps. Indiana State Flag and State Song

Minnesota State Flag and Song

Arizona Flag and Anthem

Arizona’s flag has 13 rays of red and gold on the top half of the flag represent both the 13 original colonies of the Union, and the rays of the Western setting sun. Red and gold were also the colors carried by Coronado's Spanish expedition in search of the Seven Cities of Cibola in 1540. The bottom half of the flag has the same Liberty blue as the United States flag. Since Arizona was the largest producer of copper in the nation, a copper star was placed in the flag's center. Flag adopted 1917.  Arizona’s anthem is “Arizona,” written by Margaret Rowe Clifford and composed by Maurice Blumenthal.

Kentucky State Flag and State Song

Connecticut Flag and Anthem

Connecticut’s flag is on a field of azure blue and is an ornamental white shield with three grapevines, each bearing three bunches of purple grapes. The states motto "He who Transplanted Sustains Us" is displayed on a white ribbon. The vines stand for the first settlements of English people who began to move from Massachusetts in the 1630's. Missouri Flag and Anthem

The Missouri flag:  Centered on red, white and blue fields is the Missouri state seal. It is encircled by a blue band with twenty-four stars representing the number of states in 1821. The stars in the inner circle have the same meaning. Two huge grizzly bears support the circular shield in the center which has three parts, the first part - the motto "United We Stand, Divided we Fall", the second part - the right section representing the United States, and the last part - the left section containing a moon representing a new state and a grizzly bear standing for courage.  The flag was designed by Mrs. Marie Elizabeth Oliver of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. North Carolina Flag and Anthem

The flag has a blue union, in the center is a white star with the letter N in gilt on the left and the letter C in gilt on the right, the circle is one-third the width of the union. The fly of the flag consists of two equally proportioned bars; the upper bar to be red, the lower bar to be white; the length of the bars horizontally shall be equal to the perpendicular length of the union, and the total length of the flag shall be one-third more than its width. Above the star in the center of the union is a gilt scroll in semi-circular form, containing in black letters this inscription "May 20th, 1775", and below the star there is a similar scroll containing in black letters the inscription: "April 12th, 1776".  The North Carolina anthem is, “The Old North State,” written by William Gaston and composed by Mrs. E. Utah Flag and Anthem
