"This Plus That" written by Amy Krouse Rosenthal--Book Trailer
From YouTube, produced by Harper Collins Books
What comes after 1 + 1? Just about anything! In this fanciful collection, Amy Krouse Rosenthal puts together unexpected combinations that always add up to something special. Whether it's "wishes + frosting = birthday" or "birds + buds = spring," each equation is a small delight. This Plus That shows again and again that life's total experience is always greater than the sum of its parts. This is a great resource to encourage readers in the elementary classroom and super for reading and sharing at home. (1:11)

Earth in Motion: Seasons - Interactive Site
From pbslearningmedia.org, produced by Adler Planetarium
Earth's orbit around the Sun, together with the tilt of its axis, results in periodic climate changes around the globe known as seasons. Different locations experience different types of climate changes. For example, some places have extreme seasonal changes in temperature, while others have little temperature change but may have rainy and dry seasons. This interactive activity from the Adler Planetarium explains why Earth experiences seasons and has users properly place Earth in its orbit for particular seasons. The link includes several videos and an interactive feature.

Rotation, Seasons, and the Surface of Planet Mars
From YouTube
Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun in the Solar System. The planet is named after Mars, the Roman god of war. It is also referred to as the "Red Planet" because of its reddish appearance as seen from Earth.
A terrestrial planet, Mars has a thin atmosphere and surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the volcanoes, valleys, deserts and polar ice caps of Earth. It is the site of Olympus Mons, the highest known mountain in the solar system, and of Valles Marineris, the largest canyon. In addition to its geographical features, Mars' rotational period and seasonal cycles are likewise similar to those of the Earth. This video shows the rotation speed of the red planet Mars relative to Earth, the seasonal cycles on Mars and its surface structure.
