People are naturally diverse; only tolerance can ensure the survival of mixed communities in every region of the globe. (02:55)

Don't Laugh at Me - Song with Book Pictures
From YouTube
This video is beautifully done. The song "Don't Laugh at Me" plays as the words appear on the screen and a matching picture. The illustrations are as well done as the song. Some of the lyrics include "Don't laugh at me. Don't call me names. Don't get your pleasure from my pain. In God's eyes we're all the same." This is a wonderful resource to teach tolerance to our students. It would certainly be super for a needed teachable moment and/or for counseling sessions. (03:26)

Biomes Interactive Site (Slideshow)
From s3.amazonaws.com, produced by WGBH
The distribution of plants and animals around the world is anything but random. Instead, it is a result of the interplay of individual environmental tolerances of species and the environmental conditions, especially variations in temperature and precipitation. These interactions result in biomes, the categories into which ecologists organize similar communities of plants, animals, and the environmental conditions in which they live. This interactive resource adapted from NASA features some of the physical and biological characteristics of seven of the world's biomes.

Scientology Video: Love and Hate -- What is Greatness?
From YouTube
Conflict or tolerance, cooperation or opposition, love or hate -- such are the questions of both daily living and international affairs. While every person of goodwill would like others to treat them as they themselves would like to be treated, such is often not the case. When subjected to hatred, what then is the answer to one's own happiness? In answer to that question, this is what the Scientology religion believes. This is an audio presentation from the book Scientology: A New Slant on Life by L. Ron Hubbard.

The video goes on to discuss how Dutch ideas of tolerance and individual rights, which were not present in other English colonies, took root 120 years later in the Bill of Rights. (4mins)
