From NationalGeographicVideo, produced by National Geographic
Spider monkeys move through the trees on all fives- they use their tails like an extra arm and capable of supporting their entire weight! Spider monkeys are ideally suited for treetop traveling. This movie uses professional video footage and narration from National Geographic to show how these spider monkeys can travel across the top of the jungle canopy using all "5" to move, while avoiding a predator below. This brief video would be excellent during a lesson on animal adaptations or even animal defenses (avoidance). Run time 01:31.
