In southern Italy, there was little potential for families to make money, most worked in farming or agriculture. World War I began the greatest wave of immigrants. Video discusses how Italians had to go through immigration and answer questions. Groups and organizations helped many Italians. In World War I an organization was created, it was called the Boston Foundation. It helped poor Italian immigrants or any Italians that were in the poverty level. Italian immigrants had many prejudice and legal inequalities to pass, these include poor jobs and troubles becoming a citizen.
