From YouTube, produced by A & E
It's hard to believe that Van Gogh's work was shunned in his lifetime and that he lived as a peasant. His paintings were ignored. His father was a minister. At 15, Vincent left school and went to work for an art dealership. At 28 he completed his first oil painting. This informative A & E documentary shows many of his paintings during the narration. ~Some content not for young students: Video briefly discusses some of the low points of his life; for example, STDs and suicide.
