From YouTube, produced by MuchoMath
This video indicates it is for pre-algebra, however this video would be good for anyone who is review mulitiplication and its properties. This video begins with showing the Commutative Property for Multiplication, which states when two numbers are switched they will have the same product. An example is given with three numbers, this is done from left to right (order of operations). Then they switch what is mulitiplied first the product is the same, this is the Associative Property for Mulitiplication. Additional examples are done. Then they show how to multiply numbers that equal something easy first and then do the rest of the numbers, for example 2 x 3 x 4 x 5, do the 2 x 5 first because it is 10 then do the 3 x 4 is 12, then 10 x 12 is 120. They also do more complicated problems using mental math, which is a good introduction for more advanced students. Video is good quality and good for all students as review or initial learning of the concept.
