Several materials go into oil painting a seascape. Have a variety of oil paints, have an assortment of cool and warm colors. Have white for sea spray. You need a palate knife and flat heads brushes in assorted sizes. You need round brushes in multiple shapes and a fan brush. You need charcoal and pencil to sketch out the images.
