Bonnie Terry, M. Ed., answers the question: “My daughter is very unmotivated about doing her homework and I have spend much of my time in the evenings helping her get through her assignments. What can I do?” Explain to your daughter that you don’t like doing everything this lets her know it is okay to not like it, but you still have to do it. Then look at the homework and set up an amount of time to do each assignment. Then set a timer and see if the homework can be done in this time, but be sure it is done accurately. Video is of good quality and the idea she uses is good for parents and teachers.
