Battle of Fallen Timbers and the Treaty of Greenville
From schooltube.com
This video discusses some of the key facts of the Battle of Fallen Timbers and some of the concessions made in the treaty of Greenville. This is a good video review, but students need to have a list of names of those involved and a map of the battle site. This video moves rapidly, but adds insights what the treaty was about and the effect had on the Indians. A great debate starter for does the means justify the ends. The Fading of the Roman Spirit and the Fall of the Western Empire is the subject of this three-minute video. It offers a series of questions and offers answers. Autumn Leaves are Falling Down
From YouTube, produced by Cullen's ABC
For preschoolers this is a song about leafs falling from a tree. Color recognition and number skills are used. Singing songs with your child is wonderful for many reasons. The most important reason is that singing is it is fun and children love to sing. Songs are great for increasing vocabulary and pronunciation. Using hand and body movements with songs and rhymes helps preschoolers learn to control their bodies. There is even research that has shown that children who are actively involved in music do better in reading and math when they start school, are better able to focus and control their bodies, play better with others and have higher self-esteem. So, sing a song now! (01:20)

Fall of The Roman Empire...in the 15th Century: Crash Course
From YouTube, produced by crashcourse
In which John Green teaches you about the fall of the Roman Empire, which happened considerably later than you may have been told. While the Western Roman Empire fell to barbarians in 476 CE, the Byzantines in Constantinople continued the Eastern Empire nicely, calling themselves Romans for a further 1000 years. Find out what Justinian and the rest of the Byzantine emperors were up to over there, and how the Roman Empire dragged out its famous Decline well into medieval times. In addition to all this, you'll learn about ancient sports riots and hipster barbarians, too. (12:44)

The Law of Falling Bodies
From learner.org, produced by California Institute of Technology
With the conventional wisdom of the Aristotelian world view, almost everyone could see that heavy bodies fell faster than lighter ones. Then along cam Galileo. His genius deduced that the distance a body has fallen at any instant is proportional to the square of the time spent falling. From that, speed and acceleration follow with the help of a mathematical tool called a derivative.

Dropping a Ball from 2.0 Meters - An Introductory Free-Fall Acceleration Problem
From YouTube, produced by Flipping Physics
In this introductory free-fall acceleration problem we analyze a video of a medicine ball being dropped to determine the final velocity and the time in free-fall.  Included are three common mistakes students make.  "Why include mistakes?" you might ask.  Well, it is important to understand what happens when you make mistakes so that you can recognize them in the future.  There is also brief description of "parallax" and how it affects what you see in the video compared to reality.

Content Times:
0:26 Reading and viewing the problem
0:50 Describing the parallax issue
1:52 Translating the problem to physics
2:05 1st common mistake: Velocity final is not zero
3:09 Finding the 3rd UAM variable, initial velocity
3:56 Don't we need to know the mass of the medicine ball?
4:35 Solving for the final velocity in the y direction: part (a)
5:39 Identifying our 2nd common mistake: Square root of a negative number?
7:56 Solving for the change in time: part (b)
8:28 Identifying our 3rd common mistake: Negative time?
9:36 Please don't write negative down!
10:27 Does reality match the physics?
