About Me:
 
My name is Al Drumm and I will be working with the history/social

studies portion of the project. By way of introduction, my undergraduate

degree is in history and my MA is in educational curriculum and

instruction. I retired after 31 years of teaching, staff development,

and building administration from a large suburban school district

outside of Columbus, OH. After retirement, I spent three years as a

writer and editor of reading textbooks and reading assessments for the

McGraw-Hill SEG companies. I am interested in the patterns that history

follows and how it is generally "the elephant in the room" that is

ignored when it comes to discussions about most topics today. My goal in

life is to remove as many barriers  that stop people from being lifelong

learners as I can. This wonderful project (and all of you who are involved with it)

can help to further this goal.

Besides history, I am deeply interested in sports and music with an appreciation of all kinds of music. I generally think before I act so whatever I do, there has been a thought process behind it.
