The Gravity of the Situation
From YouTube, produced by Children's Museum of Houston
Its time for a no-holds barred match to see who was right Aristotle or Galileo as we answer the question.. Do heavier objects fall faster than lighter objects? And, of course, what Mr. O video would be complete without something just plain ridiculous like say dropping water balloons off a 20+ foot balcony. (Yes, it was fun, but dont try it at home kiddies!). (05:31)

Beginner's Guide to FTP
From videojug.com
If you're interested in setting up your own website, you'll need to upload files to your hosting company. This film explains what uploading and FTP are, and how to do it.

Your website's files aren't hosted on your computer; they're hosted on a server which is probably miles away from you. You need to get your website's files up to the server in order for your website to go live.

This is done by ftp, which stands for “File Transfer Protocol”. Through the control panel at your hosting company's website, you can set up an ftp address associated with your account; ftp.videojug.com, for example.

Think of ftp as being like another disk on your computer which you can copy files to and from. If you boot up Internet Explorer, and type ftp.whateveryourwebsitescalled.com into the address bar, you'll be prompted for your username and password.

Absolute Value & The Opposite of a Number
From YouTube, produced by Lawrence Perez
The first thing that is discussed in this video is the definition of absolute value. Absolute value actually represents distance and is always positive, the symbol of an absolute value is the two bars around the value. Distances are always positive that is why absolute values are always positive. They show absolute value using a number line. Many examples are given, when an equation is between the two bars it means the answer should be in absolute value terms. Then they discuss the opposite of a number. Then they show how to ask what the opposite value is in math equation terms. They explain the opposite of a positive number is like multiplying the number by negative one. They also show the opposite of a positive and negative absolute value. Video is good quality and good for all students as review or initial learning of the concept.

Exponents and Radicals (Part 1 of 2)
From YouTube, produced by chycho.com
This video is #40 in The Language of Mathematics Series.  [NOTE: In this segment, the instructor, while writing information on the concrete wall, uses rap music which contains the 'N' word. I started not to include it, but this instructor explains math so well, I didn't not want to leave it out. It it offends, let me know, and I will delete it. An instructor can let the entire video load (when the red bar is complete) and move the pointer pass the music as the instructor is NOT talking, only writing.]  The instructor re-creates work from the first part of the series. He re-creates a real number set and shows how they relate to exponents. (07:54)
