There are many contributing factors that made the Industrial Revolution possible. We focus on the agricultural revolution, the rise of the factory, the invention of the steam engine, and the role of Britain's empire. (05:06)

Illumistream Health video. Host is Dr. Matthew H. Erdelyi, Ph. D. ADHD is the most frequently diagnosed childhood behavioral disorder. A child who suffers from ADHD demonstrates these behaviors for six months or more. The exact cause of ADHD is still unknown. ADHD can be treated with behavior modification and medication. For people with ADHD the brain looks for more stimulation, which is more movement or changing the focus, which causes the sufferer to be overactive or inattentive. Boys are more likely to be diagnosed. There are three types of ADHD, first is HD, hyperactive impulsive, which are children who need attention or immediate rewards, second is ADD, Attention Deficit Disorder which seems like the child is daydreaming, and ADHD which is a combination of both. Video gives good information on ADHD. Video is good for parents and teachers who want to learn more about ADHD.

The California Gold Rush - In this history video, look back at the California Gold Rush and how it started during the mid-1800s when people spotted gold particles in Sutters Mill. The benefits of the Gold Rush was that it created growth in the cities, and zoomed the economy. In the 1850s it caused California to be admitted as a state. Also near San Fransico there is a gold mine where people can experience how to look for gold. Good video for use when studying California history as well as US history. 01:00 run time

HealthyKidTips.com video. Host is Michael Davis, MD, pediatrician. Autism is a developmental disorder that may affect social interaction, language development, and a child’s perception of their environment. The diagnosis cannot be made until the age of two or three when language delay or failure to meet developmental milestones becomes more apparent. Autism occurs in about 7 out of 10,000 people. No one knows for sure what causes autism. Video shows milestones a child should reach, discusses other medical conditions that should be ruled out. There is no medication to cure autism, behavior modification is very helpful, consistent discipline, and sometimes medications can help to treat some symptoms if behavior is an issue. Video gives good information on autism. Video is good for parents/teachers who want to learn more about autism.
